in preserving the history of life and development of East Gippsland?
Why not become a member of East Gippsland Historical Society?
Our
Society is staffed totally by volunteers who provide assistance with
research, copying documents, maps, photographs and information
on items of historical signifcance in East Gippsland. Your contribution
could help in the development of our resource centre.
There
are many interesting jobs available in our development program and
inlcude: visitor reception, cataloguing, data entry, maintenance,
machinery restoration and display. If any of these appeal to you, please
contact us.
The
membership cost
is $20.00 per annum for a single membership and $30.00 per annum for
a family. Benefits to members inlcude free access to research facilites
and a copy of the Society's quarterly publication 'The Black Sheep'.
Bairnsdale Wharf
Open
1pm to 4pm Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays; from 7.45pm on Thursday
evenings for photo cataloguing; and other times by appointment.
